After having an enforced holiday from the computer for a week due to virus contamination (on computer that is) I was delighted on returning to have a message that Amanda from www.makeripples.wordpress.com had nominated me for a Versatile Blogger Award. It’s always nice when someone else likes what you do, so “thanks Amanda”.

From reading your list I think we have so much in common. Long term veggies, plant lovers who have worked with people with special needs, 2nd hand roses and I also lived in Bristol for a couple of years! I also love travel though I haven’t had much chance the last few years.

Congrats on the award…I can hardly wait to visit the blogs you have listed. There is one thing you mentioned in your list that I find very intriguing and I have to ask for an explanation. What is a car boot sale? I think this is some sort of gathering of people selling items from their car…please tell me more.
A car boot sale is where people bring a car full of items, usually second-hand, to a designated market place to sell them. Bit like the American Garage Sale but more people together in one place. We have quite a good one in Carrick-on-Shannon, about 15 miles from us, every Sunday. Everything from a needle to an anchor!
