  5. Congratulations Bridget. Well done. I love reading your blog too. Thank you for passing on the award to myself. When I started blogging I didn’t really think anyone would even read my blog let alone give it an award, so I am very chuffed.

  6. Congratulations! Your award is well-deserved. So fun to learn some new things about you, too!

  7. congratulations on winning the award 🙂

  11. Thank you for the lovely award Bridget!
From reading your list I think we have so much in common. Long term veggies, plant lovers who have worked with people with special needs, 2nd hand roses and I also lived in Bristol for a couple of years! I also love travel though I haven’t had much chance the last few years.
You are certainly a woman after my own heart and I will look forward to reading more of your lovely blog. Lots of love xxxx

  12. Thank you so much Bridget, I am so honoured by your nomination! You have been such a shining light to me since I started blogging last year. You have just been brilliant to read, I can always visualise you perfectly, in your cosy home or out on the land. But also you are so friendly and supportive to other bloggers that it really spurs us on…..

Today I must go to the Month’s Mind for my Dad all the way up the country. I know you will understand if I spend a little while getting around to engaging with my own end of the award, but I look forward to it over the next while. Will swot up when I get back, can’t wait to do that list there are so many fab people out there….

    Thank you again hon, X

  13. Great to see your blog getting award, Bridget. I have enjoyed reading about your take on life in Ireland. And you’ve given me an award. Thank you. I’ll have to give that some thought…15 blogs shouldn’t be difficult as there are so many great blogs around…7 things to share…I’ll have to give that some thought….

  14. How fun! I always enjoy reading a little more about the bloggers I read. Congratulations!

  15. Congrats on the award…I can hardly wait to visit the blogs you have listed. There is one thing you mentioned in your list that I find very intriguing and I have to ask for an explanation. What is a car boot sale? I think this is some sort of gathering of people selling items from their car…please tell me more.

    • A car boot sale is where people bring a car full of items, usually second-hand, to a designated market place to sell them. Bit like the American Garage Sale but more people together in one place. We have quite a good one in Carrick-on-Shannon, about 15 miles from us, every Sunday. Everything from a needle to an anchor!

  16. Congratulations, what a nice award, and you deserve it!! 🙂

  17. Congratulations Bridget – the award is well deserved. Thanks also for thinking of my blog I am honoured and will wear my badge with pride. That’s the easy part – the hard part is trying to chose who to pass the award on to as there are so many good blogs out there.
Thanks once again it is much appreciated.

  18. Gosh, thanks Bridget…as I’m currently on a blogging break due to my own nasty virus, I’ll have to leave this a little while (as in when I’m more time looking at computer than sick bowl).
    Jane xx

  19. Congratulations, Bridget! Well done and well-deserved, might I add. You’ve a lovely blog, and I look forward to your posts each week. Thanks, too, for all the links to other Irish blogs – there are far too few of them, I sometimes feel. You’ve given me lots of new opportunities to discover some great new (to me) blogs and people.

Thanks also go to Amanda, for awarding you with such a lovely award. Once again – well done, you. Now go down to the pub for a pint or whatever you’re having yourself, to celebrate.
